The ECOWAS Commission participated in the Training of Trainers in Adult Learning Methods, Law and Procedure of International Criminal Assistance that took place in Cape Verde, 6-16 February 2017.

The Project Officer, Legal , Dr. Ludimila Barai Mikulec attended a Train-the-trainer programme on  international criminal matters and international cooperation for the WACAP Member States officials of Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde organised by West African Network of Central Authorities and Prosecutors Against Organized Crime (WACAP),  under the umbrella of UNODC’s Global Programme for Strengthening the Capacities of Member States to  Prevent and Combat Serious and Organized Crime ( GPTOC), held in Sao Vicente, Cabo Verde from 6 to 16 February 2017.

The main objective of this training is to have a multiplier effect on the number of personnel in each ECOWAS Member State who can be trained in the law and procedure of mutual legal assistance and extradition, thus increasing operational effectiveness in matters involving transnational organized crime.
